Types of Adult Birthday Cakes

Adult cakes can come in lots of different forms and we can do any size, shape and budget that you want. Choose a cake depicting a favourite sport, hobby or interest or numbers and letters.

2D Birthday Cakes

The simplest of all but by no means boring. 2 dimensional birthday cakes can be round, square or cut into any other shape. A popular 2D option is also numbers or letters which can be used for adult as well as children’s cakes. Sizes of 2 dimensional cakes can range from 4 to 14 inches. They can be elegant and stylish or fun and represent anything that you want about the birthday person. I have done 2D cakes in all shapes and sizes including; the shape of a country, a roulette wheel, football field. Let your imagination run wild with ideas that represent and reflect the birthday person. Like any cake they can have a personalised message of your choice piped, printed or placed on the cake or board.

3D Birthday Cakes

Three dimensional birthday cakes are more expensive but they are also a lot of fun. They can be in any shape and size. For some designs, cake tins in the required shape are available but I can also hand sculpt cake to reflect anything that you want including plains, trains and automobiles or any other idea that you have. Give me a call and I can discuss how your idea can be put into a cake work of art.

Adults like novelty cakes too, don’t think for a minute that only children appreciate a cake built in the shape of a toy, or a car, or a telephone. The only limitation is your imagination.

Tiered Birthday Cakes

Multiple tiers are not only for wedding cakes and large birthday celebrations call for a cake that the whole party can enjoy. Sizes for tiered birthday cakes can vary greatly and they can cater for anything from 20 up to over 300 people. Individual tier sizes can range from 4 to 14 inches. The great thing about tiered cakes is that they leave lots of room for toppers and decorations.

Cupcakes

Cupcakes are a great idea for parties. No cutting up and less mess. They can be stand alone on a tower or incorporated into a theme with a separate cutting cake.

Edible Photo Cakes

Edible photos can be incorporated onto cupcakes, round or square cakes. It can be a whole picture or small images used to decorate a themed cake.
